We believe strongly in the candidacies of Ocean City Republican Leader John McCann and Freeholder Ralph Bakley of Lower Township for Cape May County freeholder in 2010 because of their proven leadership and commitment to change in these financially challenging times. This is why we jointly decided to make a public endorsement in their behalf.
We did not take this decision lightly. It involved thoughtful and careful deliberation amongst ourselves. Since making our announcement, we have heard from many interested young voters and taxpayers of all ages who are concerned about the county budget and the need to quickly adapt to these unprecedented changing times.
As a result of this positive response, we are more convinced than ever before our decision was wise and we are looking forward to working for change under the leadership of John McCann and Ralph Bakley.
The Friends of the Fishing Creek School represents a new community project for Lower Township, a group dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the historic Fishing Creek School, in keeping with our heritage, for various educational, recreational, and cultural programs, all for the benefit of Lower Township and the surrounding community.
